1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Ellinia ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Ellinia is an AI-powered homeschool management platform that provides tools for curriculum planning, course creation, progress tracking, AI-assisted grading, transcript generation, and compliance management for homeschool educators.

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

4.1 Free Trial

We offer a 14-day trial period for $10. During the trial, you have full access to all features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription.

4.2 Monthly Subscription

After the trial period, the subscription fee is billed monthly. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice. All fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.

4.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use the AI features to generate harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content

6. User Content

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or store on Ellinia, including courses, lessons, and student data ("User Content").

6.2 License to Ellinia

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

6.3 Shared Content

If you choose to share content through our Community features, you grant other users a license to view and use that shared content in accordance with the sharing settings you select.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality, is owned by Ellinia and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks may not be used without prior written consent.

8. AI-Generated Content

Ellinia uses artificial intelligence to provide features such as grading feedback, lesson suggestions, and content generation. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated content is provided for educational assistance only
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI outputs
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content
  • You should not rely solely on AI for critical educational decisions

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ELLINIA, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ellinia and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
  • We will retain your data for 30 days after cancellation, after which it may be deleted.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
